Nidhu Saxena Appointed as MD & CEO of Bank of Maharashtra.
The Ministry of Finance on March 27, appointed Nidhu Saxena as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Maharashtra. Saxena is currently Executive Director of Union Bank of India, he will be replacing AS Rajeev upon his selection as Vigilance Commissioner in CVC.

Mariam Mammen Mathew has been designated as the chairperson of the Digital News Publishers Association (DNPA).
Mariam Mammen Mathew has been designated as the chairperson of the Digital News Publishers Association (DNPA) for a tenure of two years, effective April 1, 2024. She takes over from Tanmay Maheshwari. She succeeds Tanmay Maheshwari, Managing Director of Amar Ujala.

El-Sisi sworn in for third term as Egyptian president.
Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has been sworn in before parliament for his third term as Egyptian president. Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL) Launches India’s First Privately-Built Sub-Metre Resolution Surveillance Satellite.
Tata Advanced Systems Limited on Monday announced the "successful deployment" into space of its sub-metre optical satellite that was assembled and tested in India. "TSAT-1A will deliver high-resolution optical satellite images with increased collection capacity, dynamic range, and low-latency delivery through its multispectral and hyperspectral capabilities," the company said.

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended Sushil Sharma for the position of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of SJVN Limited. This decision was made during the panel’s meeting on April 8th. Sharma, currently serving as Director (Projects) within the organization, emerged as the frontrunner from a pool of nine candidates interviewed by the PESB selection panel.

Former MI captain Rohit Sharma became the first Indian player to reach the milestone of 500 sixes in T20 cricket. Rohit, whose tally stood at 497 sixes before the match, slammed Jadeja for a maximum through the leg side in the 11th over of the match to reach this rare milestone. With this remarkable feat, Rohit Sharma has joined an elite group of T20 cricketers who have crossed the 500-six mark. The highest number of sixes in T20 cricket is held by the legendary West Indies batter Chris Gayle, followed by fellow West Indian all-rounder Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, and Colin Munro.
